Job description

Johnson Bros. Corporation, A Southland Holdings company is currently seeking a motivated MOT Supervisor to join our team in Tampa. The MOT Supervisor will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our construction sites, overseeing day-to-day operations and managing a team of MOT (Maintenance of Traffic) Laborers.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety, ensuring all operations comply with company, state, and client safety standards.
  • Coordinate the distribution and placement of traffic control signs and markers according to designated plans.
  • Supervise the setup, maintenance, and teardown of work zones, meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
  • Lead by example in lifting, carrying, and placing traffic cones and assembling traffic control signs as needed.
  • Train and mentor flaggers on proper techniques for directing traffic through work zones.
  • Ensure trucks and equipment are well-organized and maintained for operational readiness.
  • Direct traffic movement through work sites using signals and signage effectively.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Must have FDOT MOT Supervisor Certification
  •  Compliance with all safety regulations is mandatory.
  •  Knowledge of federal motor carrier safety regulations is also required.
  • Must work in all weather conditions and prepared for both extreme heat and cold.
  •  Must be available to work over-time.
  •  Must pass post offer pre-employment drug screen and background check.
