Description

Founded in 2006, we specialize in cybersecurity, information assurance, systems engineering, enterprise IT and network support, C4ISR, and software development, with internal R&D in extended reality (XR)-including VR, AR, and MR-for training and simulation.

Envision is seeking a motivated, career, and customer-oriented Cybersecurity Engineer Journeyman to join our team in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Plans, develops, and implements proven high-tech solutions to increase security and defend against hacking, malware and ransomware, insider threats, and other types of cybercrimes.
  • Oversees monitoring of computer networks, identifies security issues, and anticipates security breaches.
  • Executes the installation and maintenance of security programs, plans, and software, including firewalls and data encryption programs.
  • Assures protection of the organization's data and infrastructure by enabling the appropriate security controls.
  • Investigates and analyzes security breaches and cyber security incidents to determine the source of the issues and assesses the damage caused.
  • Documents all parts of security incidents or breaches.
  • Performs assessments and penetration tests to identify network and system vulnerabilities, troubleshoots security and network problems, determines the best way to avoid them, and responds to system or network security breaches.
  • Oversees security technology and audit or intrusion systems.
  • Develops and handles secure network solutions to protect against advanced persistent threats.
  • Keeps abreast of industry security trends and developments, as well as applicable government regulations.

Required Skills:

  • 6+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related field
  • Proven experience in network security, incident response, and vulnerability management.

   Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a related field
  • Hands-on experience with security tools
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, RMF)

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Active Secret with the ability to obtain TS-SCI

The projected compensation range for this position is $160,000.00-$174,000.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories
