Job Description
Precise Systems delivers integrated, mission-ready solutions that advance warfighter readiness and strengthen our nation's most critical defense programs. Through the power of our combined capabilities, we provide deep expertise in Advanced Engineering; Digital Transformation; Electromagnetic Warfare; Interactive Training & Simulation; Physical Sciences Research; Platform Lifecycle Support; and Foreign Military Sales. Unified by decades of trusted performance and expanded through strategic growth, our team applies innovative technologies, engineering rigor, and customer-focused execution to solve complex challenges and accelerate mission success. Guided by our commitment to partnership, precision, and performance, we deliver the scalable solutions and technical excellence our customers depend on-today and into the future.
Precise Systems is seeking a motivated, mission-focused Command and Control (C2) Integration and Network Engineer to support the integration of Expeditionary Electromagnetic Warfare systems into shipboard Command and Control environments. This position will provide systems engineering, network engineering, integration planning, cybersecurity coordination, and technical documentation support for EW system connectivity with shipboard information systems, including systems capable of passing EW system data, tracks, logs, updates, and other mission-relevant information. The ideal candidate will have strong experience designing, standing up, modifying, and maintaining networked environments and integrating complex systems across IP-based and non-IP-based networks. This role requires the ability to work across engineering, cybersecurity, shipboard system, program office, and In-Service Engineering Agent teams to identify interface requirements, assess technical feasibility, document integration approaches, and support system modernization efforts.
This role requires in-person support.
Duties:
  • Lead or support projects focused on integrating EW systems into shipboard Command and Control systems.
  • Develop and coordinate integration approaches that enable EW system data, tracks, and relevant system information to be passed to appropriate shipboard information systems, including systems such as Cooperative Engagement Capability.
  • Investigate shipboard information systems, including CANES or similar shipboard network environments, to identify potential pathways for transferring data to and from EW systems.
  • Assess methods for transferring software updates, patches, configuration files, and other support data to EW systems through approved shipboard information systems.
  • Assess methods for transferring system logs, diagnostic data, operational data, and other system outputs from EW systems to approved shipboard or support systems.
  • Interface with shipboard subject matter experts, system owners, cybersecurity personnel, and technical authorities to identify requirements for connecting EW systems to shipboard networks and information systems.
  • Identify and document protocol requirements, message formats, data sharing requirements, communication boundaries, hardware interfaces, software interfaces, and system integration constraints.
  • Support development and review of interface documentation, including interface requirements, architecture descriptions, integration concepts, interface control documentation, and technical recommendations.
  • Investigate classification levels, data handling constraints, and cross-domain solution requirements needed to support EW system integration with shipboard information systems.
  • Support Authority to Operate, Risk Management Framework, cybersecurity documentation, and related system authorization activities associated with EW system network integration.
  • Coordinate with cybersecurity personnel to ensure proposed network designs, interfaces, data transfer methods, and system modifications comply with applicable security requirements.
  • Support the design, configuration, and maintenance of lab-based and representative shipboard network environments used for integration, testing, troubleshooting, and verification.
  • Support integration of IP-based and non-IP-based systems, including lab networks, sensors, RF collection and transmission systems, proprietary communication interfaces, and other mission-specific data systems.
  • Analyze network protocols, data flows, routing, switching, segmentation, ports, services, timing, message structure, and interoperability requirements.
  • Support technical assessments of network performance, system connectivity, data exchange, cyber vulnerabilities, and integration risk.
  • Coordinate with other Crane team members to ensure project information is shared across engineering, cybersecurity, logistics, test, configuration management, and In-Service Engineering Agent functional areas.
  • Support planning for In-Service Engineering Agent requirements, including installation, checkout, fleet introduction, sustainment, modernization, and life-cycle support considerations.
  • Develop project plans, technical briefings, integration schedules, risk summaries, engineering recommendations, and status updates for Program Office, Resource Sponsor, and technical team stakeholders.
  • Provide consulting subject matter expertise to multiple programs or projects requiring network integration, C2 interface support, shipboard system connectivity, or EW system data exchange.
  • Support troubleshooting of integration issues involving network connectivity, interface compatibility, data transfer, software configuration, security controls, and system interoperability.
