Role Overview:

Trellix is seeking a high-performing Majors Account Executive to drive growth across California, Colorado, and Arizona, with a preferred base in Colorado, Utah, California or Arizona. In this role, you will represent Trellix's industry-leading cybersecurity portfolio, delivering tailored solutions to Fortune 250 enterprise clients.

Partnering closely with Regional Sales Leadership, Global Teams, and strategic partners, you will expand our footprint, maximize revenue, and build a robust long-term pipeline. As a trusted advisor, you'll demonstrate how Trellix's enterprise security solutions consistently exceed complex customer requirements while ensuring top-tier satisfaction.

About the Role

  • Drive Revenue Success: Consistently achieve and exceed an assigned annual revenue quota (e.g., $5M+).

  • Maximize Territory Growth: Strategically manage and expand your territory to deliver both immediate revenue and sustainable long-term opportunities.

  • Pipeline & Account Planning: Build a strong sales pipeline through rigorous account planning, market mapping, and executive engagement.

  • Close High-Impact Deals: Prospect, negotiate, and close software contracts and professional services engagements ranging from $150K to $5M+.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional sales and technical teams to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities across the broader Trellix portfolio.

  • Deliver Value-Driven Presentations: Lead high-level sales calls, strategic customer engagements, and tailored product demonstrations (both virtual and in-person) that showcase Trellix's business value.

  • Guide Evaluation & Implementation: Oversee successful product evaluations, proof-of-concepts, pilot implementations, and beta programs in coordination with technical experts.

  • Strategic Partnering: Collaborate with sales leadership to refine go-to-market strategies and optimize sales approaches for complex enterprise environments.

About You

  • Location: Located on or near the West Coast.

  • Proven Enterprise Track Record: 6+ years of success selling complex security software, cloud solutions, and professional services to large enterprise accounts (Fortune 250 focus).

  • Executive Presence: Experienced trusted advisor capable of effectively engaging, negotiating with, and influencing C-level executives and key decision-makers.

  • Established Network: Possess deep, existing relationships and industry contacts within the region, with an intimate understanding of current enterprise cybersecurity challenges.

  • Domain Knowledge: Solid foundational understanding of modern networking topologies, enterprise security architectures, and emerging technologies.

  • Consultative & Customer-Centric: Expert in value-based selling methodologies that solve critical customer pain points and yield high-value, long-term partnerships.

  • Navigating Matrixed Environments: Proven ability to collaborate effectively and succeed within a multi-tiered, global sales organization.

This position is paid (in part) on a commission basis. The Base Pay Range is $140,000 - $180,000. The On Target Earnings (OTE) Range (base pay plus on target commission) is $300,000 - $335,000. Actual base pay within the Base Pay Range and actual OTE within the OTE Range will depend on varying circumstances, including the work location, individual qualifications, company budget and other operational business needs. Compensation may also include long-term incentives, subject to various metrics and company policy.
