Job Description
About CyberEd.io | An ISMG Company
CyberEd.io is the cybersecurity education and training division of ISMG, a global leader in cybersecurity intelligence, trusted by security professionals for more than 20 years.
Unlike traditional learning platforms or content libraries, CyberEd.io helps organizations build and demonstrate measurable cyber readiness. We combine practitioner-led training, executive simulations, hands-on labs, industry-leading events, and on-demand learning into enterprise programs that help organizations strengthen their security capabilities and prove readiness to leadership, regulators, and customers.
The Opportunity
Today, CyberEd.io is entering its next stage of growth and we're looking for our first commercial leader. As founding Director of Sales, you'll partner closely with executive leadership to validate our go-to-market strategy, refine our ideal customer profile, develop repeatable sales processes, secure flagship enterprise customers, and build the commercial foundation that future sales teams will scale from.
Initially, your mission will be focused on creating pipeline, closing enterprise business, and gathering market intelligence. As the business grows, you'll transition into building and leading a high-performing enterprise sales organization.
This role is ideal for a builder who thrives in high-growth, entrepreneurial environments, enjoys creating structure from scratch, and wants to play a foundational role in shaping the future of CyberEd.io .
What You'll Do
Build the Commercial Foundation
  • Partner with executive leadership to validate and refine CyberEd.io 's go-to-market strategy.
  • Gather customer feedback to continuously improve messaging, positioning, packaging, and market approach.
  • Refine ideal customer profiles, buyer personas, and qualification criteria through real customer engagement.
  • Establish forecasting, pipeline management, and sales operating rhythms.
  • Develop repeatable sales processes, playbooks, and best practices that will support future growth.

Drive Enterprise Revenue Growth
  • Identify, engage, and close new enterprise customers across CyberEd.io 's portfolio of cybersecurity education and readiness solutions.
  • Build trusted relationships with CISOs, security executives, L&D leaders, GRC leaders, CIOs, and executive buying committees.
  • Own the complete enterprise sales cycle from prospecting through contract execution.
  • Develop strategic account plans focused on long-term partnerships and multi-year enterprise agreements.
  • Consistently build and manage a healthy pipeline while providing accurate forecasting.

Scale & Lead a Future Sales Organization
As CyberEd.io matures, you'll help transition the organization from founder-led selling to a scalable commercial model.
  • Hire, mentor, and lead a team of Account Executives.
  • Develop onboarding materials and sales enablement resources.
  • Create a culture focused on accountability, ownership, curiosity, and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For
Required Experience
  • 8-10+ years of enterprise B2B sales experience, with a strong record of new business development.
  • Significant experience selling cybersecurity training, cybersecurity education, cyber workforce development, or closely related enterprise cybersecurity solutions.
  • Demonstrated success helping build or scale an early-stage business, startup, or new business unit.
  • Experience selling directly to CISOs, security executives, and executive buying committees.
  • Proven ability to create repeatable sales processes-not simply execute existing ones.
  • Experience navigating long, complex enterprise sales cycles.

Why Join CyberEd.io ?
This is a rare opportunity to build something from the ground up while benefiting from the credibility and resources of an established global brand.
CyberEd.io combines the agility of a startup with the strength of the ISMG ecosystem-including more than 20 years of trusted cybersecurity journalism, global events, practitioner expertise, and an engaged community of security leaders. That combination provides a unique competitive advantage as the business scales.
You'll have the opportunity to:
  • Build the commercial engine of an emerging cybersecurity business.
  • Work directly with executive leadership to shape strategy.
  • Influence product direction through real customer engagement.
  • Create lasting impact on the future growth of CyberEd.io .
  • Grow into a senior commercial leadership role as the organization scales
