A Cyber Security Ethical Hacking job involves identifying and fixing security vulnerabilities in computer systems, networks, and applications. Ethical hackers, also known as penetration testers or white-hat hackers, simulate cyberattacks to assess security weaknesses before malicious hackers can exploit them. They use various tools and techniques to test defenses, report vulnerabilities, and recommend security improvements. This role helps organizations strengthen their cybersecurity and protect sensitive data from breaches.

A typical day for an ethical hacker often involves performing penetration tests on networks, applications, or systems to discover potential vulnerabilities before malicious actors can exploit them. You may spend time setting up test environments, running scans, analyzing results, and documenting findings in detailed reports. Collaboration with IT teams, security professionals, and sometimes even management is common, especially when discussing remediation strategies.
