Title: Senior Cybersecurity Advisor Location: Rosemead, CA 91770 Duration: 12 Months Contract PositionJob Description: Senior Cybersecurity Advisor to support the Cybersecurity Oversight Group (COG) which is comprised of executive leaders and board members for Edison International. The Senior Cybersecurity Advisor will prepare and provide briefings, reports, and presentations that include recommendations to the COG and Edison International senior leaders on sector-relevant current and emerging threats, cybersecurity operations, cyber hygiene, industry standards, risks and mitigations, investments, decision-making and internal controls, and current and proposed laws, rules, and regulations.
Required Skills: - Provide input to executive leaders offering guidance on emerging cybersecurity issues with respect to their strategic implications, in support of Edison's broader cybersecurity risk management initiatives.
- Advise on the evolving cyber threat landscape, analyze business strategy and business model considerations, and provide input on prioritization of investments that drive the advancement of Client's strategic roadmap initiatives for cybersecurity.
- Impart knowledge on industry standards and best practices in cybersecurity, equipping Client's with proactive mitigation strategies.
- Offer insights on the cyber threat environment, including threat actors, their tactics, and techniques, with a view to influencing Client's cybersecurity strategies.
- Provide recommendations on how to navigate and comply with surrounding adherences to current and upcoming cybersecurity laws as well as regulations.
Responsibilities: The Consultant shall be responsible for the daily operational oversight of Consultant Personnel activities pertaining to the project work plan. These activities will include developing a project work plan, tracking progress against the work plan, and updating the workplan accordingly. Additionally, the Consultant will be responsible for monitoring actual project costs against the project budget, tracking and reporting progress of critical path items identified in the project work plan. The Consultant's responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with Client's staff to identify relevant topics for monthly COG meetings based upon company- or industry-specific threats, industry best practices, or cyber-relevant proposed or current policy, rules, or laws that may impact Client's business and operations.
- Prepare briefing materials which may include pre-meeting background material, talking points, presentations and slides, and short reports.
- Present or co-present relevant material and recommendations, virtually or in-person, as requested by Client.
- Attend meetings with relevant Client's staff to prepare for COG meetings or to discuss implementation of COG-supported actions and/or recommendations.
- Conduct administrative tasks (budgeting, invoicing, travel, and logistics, etc.) to support substantive activities.
- Support ad hoc requests related to cybersecurity advisement for the COG.
- Monitor the project's progress against its objectives, scope, schedule, and budget.
