Overview:

There are three Cath Labs at UF Healthโ€™s Leesburg Hospital and 1 Electrophysiology Lab.ย  We are searching for someone who is passionate about elevating their clinical skillset and value their professional experience they will acquire while working. At Leesburg Hospital, there are a lot of complex interventional cases and structural heart cases. The Providers are excited about the field and love to share their knowledge with their staff.ย  This is a close-knit Cath Lab where collaboration and teamwork is celebrated with state-of-art Cath Lab technology and medical devices.ย 

There are 3 Cath Labs at UF Healthโ€™s Leesburg Hospital and 1 Electrophysiology Lab.ย  The Director is a servant-leader at UF Health Leesburg Hospital and he is dedicated to the success of his team and the people of his community.ย  This is a close-knit Cath Lab where collaboration and teamwork is celebrated. The benefit about working here is that you will truly learn and acquire valuable experience, as there are a lot of complex interventional cases and structural heart cases. The Providers are excited about the field and love to share their knowledge with their staff.ย  Our Cath Labs offer state-of-art technology and medical devices.

Responsibilities:

The Cath Lab CVT Charge, under the direction the of the director/manager person, monitors procedures, including all diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral ย studies as well as structural heart procedures, and works as a scrub assistant.ย  The CVT Charge also assists with education and mentoring of students and new hires within the cath lab environment and facilitates the delivery of quality, safe patient care. This is a Full Time, Day Shift position.ย

Qualifications:
  • Education
    • Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy
    • In Lieu of education requirements, a minimum of five (5) yearsโ€™ experience and:
          • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire) OR
          • Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire)
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration
    • FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred) OR
    • FL Registered Respiratory Therapist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification (preferred)
    • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Certification OR Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) Certification (Required within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields)
    • BLS
    • ACLS
