Schedule

Assignment Details
- Beds / census: 36 beds; avg daily census ~30
- Ratio: 1:4
Requirements
- RN license: GA or Compact license required at time of submission
- Minimum: 1 year RN experience
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH / NIHSS
- Core clinical skills:
- Continuous cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Titration/management of cardiac/vasoactive drips
- High-flow nasal cannula, BiPAP/CPAP, non-invasive airway support
- Central/PICC/peripheral line care, IV starts, blood product administration
- Feeding tube care, tracheostomy care, phlebotomy
- Neuro/Stroke stepdown care and rapid response/code team participation
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients in a Neuro/Stroke PCU setting.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, utilizing telemetry and other diagnostic tools.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and manage cardiac drips as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families about their medical conditions and care procedures.
- Participate in rapid response and code team activities as needed.
Compliance / Notes
- Vaccines: COVID-19 vaccine not required; flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed).
- Compliance required to start on time; incomplete compliance can push start by ~2 weeks.
- Orientation: Number of non-billable orientation hours tied to contract length.
