Position Overview

CVS Health is seeking compassionate and patient-focused Registered Nurses (RNs) to join its Vaccination Support Program as an Immunization Nurse Float. In this patient-facing role, you will administer a variety of immunizations, including Influenza, COVID-19, MMR, and other CDC-recommended vaccines, while delivering exceptional patient care in a retail healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer vaccines including Influenza, COVID-19, MMR, and other routine immunizations according to established clinical guidelines.
  • Assess patients prior to vaccination and monitor for adverse reactions following immunization.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
  • Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Educate patients regarding vaccine benefits, potential side effects, and post-vaccination care.
  • Maintain infection prevention and safety standards using provided PPE.
  • Collaborate effectively with pharmacists, healthcare providers, and store leadership.
  • Adapt to changing workflows and support multiple retail clinic locations as needed.
  • Foster a positive patient experience through compassionate, professional care.
Required Qualifications
  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of California.
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, including immunization administration.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
  • Strong clinical skills in medication administration and vaccine delivery.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including Monday through Saturday.
  • Must not appear on the DEA Excluded Parties List.
  • Verifiable High School Diploma or GED.
  • Prior CVS/Aetna experience is not required.

  • Previous experience in retail health, ambulatory care, occupational health, or public health.
  • Experience administering high-volume vaccination clinics.
