Job description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced CVOR Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a travel assignment at a Level I Trauma Center. The ideal candidate must have strong cardiovascular surgical experience and be proficient in complex cardiac procedures in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of CVOR CST experience.
  • Level I Trauma Center experience required.
  • Active CST Certification through NBSTSA (Required).
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • First-time travelers will not be accepted.
  • Travel pairs and trios are welcome.

Required Clinical Experience:

  • CVOR and First Assist experience.
  • CABG, ECMO, Mitral Valve Replacement, Aortic Aneurysm Repair, Atherectomy, ASD Repair, Cardiomyoplasty, Pericardial Window, and VAD Management procedures.

Schedule & Call Requirements:

  • Contract Length: 13–26 Weeks.
  • Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Day)
  • On-Call Required: Minimum 2 call days per week and 1–2 weekends every 6 weeks based on unit needs.
  • Floating to Main OR may be required when CVOR volume is low.

Additional Information:

  • Facility may call off 1 shift every 2 weeks.
  • Local candidates are accepted (radius rules apply).
  • All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application.
