Operating Room Nurse - Cardiac

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse specializing in Cardiac procedures to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced operating room setting. This role requires expertise in both scrubbing and circulating for cardiac surgeries, ensuring seamless coordination of surgical procedures.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care in the operating room, ensuring safety and adherence to best practices.
  • Assist in cardiac surgeries by scrubbing and circulating as needed.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Maintain sterile techniques and uphold infection control protocols.
  • Prepare and manage surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment.
  • Monitor patient vitals and respond promptly to any intraoperative complications.
  • Document surgical procedures and patient progress accurately.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of operating room experience, with a focus on cardiac procedures.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
  • Skills: Ability to scrub and circulate in cardiac surgeries.
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required but Preferred):
  • Experience working in a high-volume surgical unit.
  • Previous travel nursing experience.
Compensation & Benefits:
For 36-hour contracts:
  • Weekly Gross Pay: $3,212
  • Weekly Taxable Pay: $1,728
  • Weekly Non-Taxable Stipends: $1,484
For 48-hour contracts:
  • Weekly Gross Pay: $4,214
  • Weekly Taxable Pay: $2,730
  • Weekly Non-Taxable Stipends: $1,484
  • Hourly W2 Rate: $52.50
  • Overtime Rate: $78.75

This is a 13-week travel contract with a rotating Day/Evening/Night shift schedule.
