Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical ICU (MICU) position requiring NY licensure, Epic experience, and a minimum of 1 year of ICU experience.

Details
  • 16-bed MICU within a hospital setting
  • Patient population includes sepsis, ARDS, renal failure, heart failure, pre-VAD workups, alcohol withdrawal, overdose, multi-organ failure, post cardiac arrest/targeted temperature management, respiratory failure/shock, and CRRT, EKOS, IABP, ECMO, and Impella cases
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2, with occasional 1:1 based on acuity
  • Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
  • Every other weekend required
  • 13-week contract
Requirements
  • Active NY RN license currently in hand
  • Minimum 1 year of MICU or ICU experience required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • BLS certification required
Additional Information
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Local candidates are not accepted — candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
  • 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
  • All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration
