AFC Tooling Group is currently looking for a Metal Cutting Tool Sales Engineer for the Houston, TX area. The Sales Engineer will need to be knowledgeable in the Metal Cutting Tool and Machinery Industry.

Activities and responsibilities of the Sales Engineer include:

  • Increase profitable sales and win market share in the metal cutting tool industry through technical solutions and engineering services.
  • Work closely with team leaders, engineers and programmers, to come to the customers' best application solutions.
  • Gain customers' acceptance by explaining and demonstrating cost reductions and operational improvements.
  • Prepare and negotiate the successful quotation, price, contracts, programs and other agreements.

Professional Experience Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or related technical field or equivalent work experience

Work Experience:

  • 5-8 years relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of the Metal Cutting Tool Industry
  • Ability to provide technical CNC machining support and solutions to customers
  • Good communication skills with customers

Professional Skills:

  • Efficient in time management, with the ability to effectively see numerous tasks through to completion
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of internal and external organizations
  • Ability to clearly relate and explain complex technical issues and concepts to others

Salary:

Base Salary in the low 100ks range
