THE OPPORTUNITY

RS is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Drill and Cut Operator to support production by drilling, cutting, and preparing composite utility poles to meet quality, safety, and production standards. This role is key to delivering high-quality products while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate and monitor Drill & Cut equipment to meet production and quality standards.
  • Perform drilling, cutting, measuring, and mechanical scrap cutting operations.
  • Inspect equipment and maintain a clean, safe work area.
  • Operate overhead cranes and use measuring tools, gauges, and HMI controls.
  • Complete required production documentation and maintain material inventory.
  • Report equipment issues to the Production Supervisor.
  • Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
  • Support training, cross-training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist Engineering with process improvements and equipment trials.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Overhead Crane and Lift Truck Certification is preferred
  • 1-year minimum manufacturing or production experience is an asset.
