Job description

Job Title: Field Support Engineer
Location: Dallas, TX (Home-based when not in the field)
Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Mon-Fri
FLSA: Non-Exempt, Full-Time, Direct Hire

Pay: $34-$43/h($70K-$90K/y) + overtime + bonus

A leading provider of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment is seeking an industry experienced Field Support Engineer. This Dallas based position primarily supports local client sites while working from a home office when not in the field. The company offers a comprehensive six-month training program for new hires to learn about its products and core concepts. Up to 75% of the role involves field service within the local area, with occasional out-of-state travel as needed.

Responsibilities:
Serve as a technical liaison between customers and the company's engineering teams.
Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, software, and process-related issues.
Troubleshoot industrial machinery and software at customer sites.
Provide on-site and remote engineering support to minimize customer downtime.
Assist clients with network configuration and administration, including the setup of Windows and database servers.
Document service activities and maintain detailed service logs.
Conduct customer training on the company's software products as needed.
Deliver services in accordance with company policies, procedures, and service manuals.
Escalate technical issues and recommend improvements to support quality standards.

Qualifications:
Prior experience in Surface Mount Technology (SMT) is required.

Bachelor of Science required; a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering field is preferred.
Knowledge and hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical systems.
Previous field service or customer support experience.
Basic knowledge of Windows OS and networking concepts.
Willingness to travel as needed.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
