Job description

Overview of theĀ positionĀ 

The CustomerĀ SuccessĀ Director is aĀ keyĀ leadership role,Ā responsible for leadingĀ Enhesa'sĀ customerĀ successĀ teamĀ in support of client retention, customer value, service adoption/training, and long-term account health. The role is accountable for achieving Gross Retained Revenue targets and ensuring that customer-facing teamsĀ operateĀ effectively within a quarterly, target-driven commercial structure.Ā 

Reporting to the SVP Commercial, this position manages a team of four professional Customer Success Managers andĀ is responsible forĀ coaching the team towards their quarterly "plan to goal." The Customer SuccessĀ Director will ensure strong execution against renewal, retention, engagement, and customer successĀ objectives, whileĀ maintainingĀ a consultative and customer-centric approach.Ā 

The ideal candidate is an experienced B2B customer success leader with a strong commercialĀ mindset,Ā provenĀ experienceĀ operatingĀ in a quarterly target-drivenĀ environment andĀ preferably experienceĀ inĀ a SaaSĀ and/or high-growth business.Ā 

Main tasks and responsibilitiesĀ 

  • Own and deliver Gross Retained Revenue targetsĀ acrossĀ Enhesa'sĀ Product andĀ Chemical intelligenceĀ portfoliosĀ 
  • Lead, coach, and manage a teamĀ of four Customer Success Managers, ensuring clear accountability against individual and team goalsĀ 
  • Translate quarterly business targets into actionable team plans, supporting each manager in working their accounts and activities towards their "plan to goal"Ā 
  • Establish a consistent operating rhythmĀ for forecasting, pipeline inspection, renewal readiness, customer healthĀ reviewsĀ and performance managementĀ 
  • Drive customer retentionĀ by ensuring proactive engagement, strong relationship management, andĀ timelyĀ identification/mitigationĀ of renewal risksĀ 
  • Build andĀ maintainĀ executive-level customer relationships, acting as an escalation point and senior sponsor whereĀ requiredĀ 
  • Collaborate closelyĀ with Sales, Account Management, Product, Finance, and Marketing to support customer outcomes and commercial performanceĀ 
  • Develop andĀ monitorĀ key customerĀ successĀ KPIs, including Gross Retained Revenue, renewal rates, customer health, engagement levels,Ā trainings,Ā risk status, and customer satisfactionĀ 
  • Ensure Customer Success Managers use CRM and customer success tools accuratelyĀ and consistently to manage accounts, document activity, and forecast outcomesĀ 
  • Support the development of scalable processes, playbooks, and best practices for renewals, customer engagement, risk management, and value realizationĀ 
  • Represent the voice of the customer internally, sharing insights that support product development, operational improvement, and commercial strategyĀ 
  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and accountable team cultureĀ aligned toĀ Enhesa'sĀ growthĀ objectives.Ā 

KeyĀ requirementsĀ 

  • Education.Ā Bachelor's degree inĀ Business,Ā Marketing or a similar field of study from an accredited university isĀ required.Ā 
  • Experience.Ā 3-5+Ā years'Ā experience managingĀ customer successĀ teams in aĀ business-to-businessĀ (B2B)Ā environment in theĀ software,Ā software as a service (SaaS),Ā IT, insurance, engineering, financialĀ servicesĀ or consultancy industry.Ā Ā 
  • Proven ability to lead teamsĀ in a quarterly target-driven commercial environmentĀ 
  • Strong experience managing customer-facing professionalsĀ against revenue, retention, or renewal targetsĀ 
  • Clear understanding of Gross Retained RevenueĀ and the activitiesĀ requiredĀ to protect and improve retained revenue performanceĀ 
  • Experience coaching teams through structured plans, performance reviews, pipeline management, and "plan to goal" executionĀ 
  • Strong familiarity with CRM systems and customer success platforms; experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce,Ā Totango, or similar tools isĀ advantageousĀ 
  • Excellent customer relationship management skills, including executive-level communication and escalation handlingĀ 
  • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret customer health data, account trends, renewal forecasts, and performance metricsĀ 
  • Demonstrated ability toĀ operateĀ cross-functionallyĀ with Sales, Product, Finance, Marketing, and OperationsĀ 
  • Commercially astute, structured, and comfortable working in a fast-paced growth environmentĀ 
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, negotiation, and conflict resolution skillsĀ
