JOB SUMMARY:
  • We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Customer Service Specialist to join our team. This position serves as the primary liaison between our customers and internal teams, ensuring seamless experience from quotation through order fulfillment and delivery
  • The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments to meet customer expectations and support business objectives

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries via phone and email
  • Process customer purchase orders, quotations, and order acknowledgments accurately and efficiently
  • Provide customers with pricing, product availability, lead times, shipment status, and delivery updates
  • Manage customer orders throughout the entire order lifecycle, from order entry through shipment
  • Coordinate closely with Sales, Engineering, Production, Planning, Purchasing, Quality, and Shipping to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Monitor production schedules and proactively communicate changes, delays, or potential issues to customers
  • Review purchase orders for accuracy, pricing, delivery requirements, and contractual terms
  • Maintain accurate customer information, order records, and documentation within the ERP system
  • Assist customers with returns, warranty requests, and order discrepancies, ensuring timely resolution
  • Support the Sales team by preparing quotations, processing orders, and responding to customer requests
  • Coordinate customer documentation, including certifications, packing lists, invoices, and shipping documents, as required
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through responsive, professional, and solution-oriented service
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and internal processes
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
  • Minimum of 3 years of customer service or customer account management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience supporting aerospace, defense, industrial, or electromechanical manufacturing is preferred
  • Strong understanding of order processing, manufacturing workflows, and customer account management
  • Working knowledge of DFARS, FAR, ITAR, EAR, and U.S. government contract compliance requirements, including customer flow-down requirements for defense and aerospace programs
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SyteLine, Epicor, NetSuite, SAP, or similar
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with motion control products, electric motors, or other electromechanical products is a plus
  • Familiarity with AS9100 quality standards or aerospace manufacturing is desirable
