Job description

VP, Service Operations & Sales

Napa, CA · On-Site · Full-Time · Reports to: General Manager

About Paradise Pools

Paradise Pools is one of the leading pool service companies in the Napa Valley region, serving 1,600+ residential and commercial customers across Napa, Sonoma, and surrounding counties. We're backed by Chisel Industries, a tech-enabled holding company transforming how skilled trades businesses operate, using AI, smart routing, and modern field management to deliver better service at scale.

We're growing fast and investing heavily in our operations. This is a rare opportunity to lead both service delivery and revenue growth for a well-established business at the start of an exciting new chapter.

The Role

The VP of Service Operations and Sales is a senior leadership position responsible for the end-to-end performance of our field service organization and our customer acquisition and retention efforts. You'll own the routes, the technicians, the customer relationships, and the revenue number. This is a builder's role. You'll inherit a strong foundation with a talented team and you'll be expected to push both to the next level.

What You'll Own Service Operations
  • Lead and develop a team of field service technicians, managers, and route supervisors
  • Responsible for Service efficiency targeting meaningful reductions in drive time, fuel, and labor cost through smarter scheduling and technology
  • Own service quality metrics: customer satisfaction, first-visit resolution, chemical compliance, and on-time performance
  • Partner with our GM and tech team to roll out new field management tools and other technologies to optimize for scaling, efficiency, and predictability
  • Build and enforce operational SOPs that scale across a growing route network
  • Responsible for Service Operations KPI’s and quality control
Sales & Revenue
  • Own the revenue line: recurring service, upsells (repairs, equipment, remodels), and new customer acquisition
  • Lead and coach our sales function, working closely with the Sales Manager to sharpen pipeline, conversion, and retention
  • Develop territory expansion strategy across our 5-county service area
  • Build relationships with property managers, builders, and real estate professionals to drive commercial account growth
  • Own pricing strategy and margin discipline on service agreements
Leadership & Culture
  • Serve as a culture carrier demonstrating accountable, customer-first, and always improving mentality
  • Partner cross-functionally with office, permits/design, and remodel teams
  • Report regularly on KPIs to the General Manager and Chisel Industries leadership
What We're Looking For Required
  • 7+ years of experience in field service operations and/or sales — ideally in pool/spa, HVAC, plumbing, landscaping, or a related trade
  • Proven track record managing field technician teams of 10+ employees
  • Experience owning a P&L or a defined revenue target
  • Strong people leader: you develop the people around you, not just manage tasks
  • Operationally sharp: you think in systems, schedules, and metrics
  • Comfortable with technology and excited to explore how technology can improve work
  • Clean driving record; valid California driver's license required
  • Bilingual Spanish required
Nice to Have
  • CPO (Certified Pool/Spa Operator) certification, or willingness to obtain
  • Experience with field service management software (Skimmer, ServiceTitan, Jobber, or similar)
  • Familiarity with the Napa/Sonoma market and its customer base
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience
  • Performance bonus tied to service quality and revenue KPIs
  • Full benefits package: medical, dental, vision
  • Company vehicle or vehicle allowance
  • 401(k) with company contribution
  • Growth opportunity as we expand across California and beyond

Paradise Pools is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
