Job description

Your Contribution 

As a Customer Service Supervisor reporting to the Head of Logistics, you will be responsible for leading the Customer Service team to deliver exceptional service and operational performance for both internal and external customers. This role serves as the primary escalation point for customer and logistics-related issues, ensuring rapid resolution while maintaining strong customer relationships and supporting business objectives. The Customer Service Supervisor drives on-time delivery performance by coordinating inbound and outbound logistics activities, monitoring key performance indicators, and collaborating cross-functionally with Production, Planning, Purchasing, Shipping, Quality, and Sales. Through effective leadership, process improvement, and data-driven decision-making, this position fosters a customer-focused culture that enhances service levels, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. 

This role is responsible to: 

  • Lead daily shipping, receiving, warehousing, and material handling operations.

  • Ensure the timely and accurate movement of materials to support production and customer requirements. 

  • Maintain inventory accuracy through effective inventory control processes and cycle count programs. 

  • Monitor logistics performance metrics and implement corrective actions to meet established targets. 

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity. 

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound transportation activities to ensure on-time deliveries and cost-effective freight management. 

  • Develop, coach, and lead logistics team members to achieve performance objectives and support employee growth. 

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulatory requirements. 

  • Collaborate with Production, Customer Service, Purchasing, and other departments to resolve material flow and logistics issues. 

  • Identify and eliminate inefficiencies in warehousing, transportation, and material handling processes. 

  • Manage logistics resources, equipment, and space utilization to maximize operational effectiveness. 

  • Support new product launches, customer requirements, and business growth initiatives through effective logistics planning. 

  • Investigate and resolve shipping, inventory, and delivery discrepancies in a timely manner. 

  • Prepare and communicate logistics performance reports and action plans to leadership. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Your Experience & Qualifications  

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management or Associate Degree with equivalent experience may be considered. 

  • 5-7 years of experience in Customer Service, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing Operations. 

  • Minimum 2-3 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred. 

  • Experience within an automotive manufacturing environment strongly preferred. 

  • Experience working with customer portals, EDI, and ERP systems required.
