Job Summary
Customer Service Managers with The Cooper Agency are team players that take exceptional pride in the company they represent, the products they sell and in providing excellent customer service. They assist the agent in managing our current customer profile, clerical functions, and sales support to write and service our existing customers as well as striving to increase business. 
Many Alfa insurance agents are independent contractors. These agents are not employees of Alfa Insurance. Staff for independent contractor agents will be employees of the agent and not Alfa Insurance. 
 
Responsibilities 
  •  Responsible for  handling customer inquiries, documenting requests and completing changes, accepting and processing premiums, prospecting new business in multi-line insurance.
  • Service to customers includes strong communication skills on multiple platforms, conflict resolutions skills, ability to quickly learn new computer programs and processes. Proficient at adapting to a constantly changing, extremely fast-paced environment.
  • Provide support to the agent and service center staff as needed.
  • Setting life insurance appointments for the sales staff.
  • Seek referrals, Google reviews and multi-line sales opportunities from current customers.
  • Ensure effective operation of the service center including but not limited to: reports, documentation, and mail distribution.
  • Service incoming phone calls and walk-ins.
 
Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or equivalent required
  • Current P&C insurance license or ability to attain 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and have an aptitude for learning new programs and procedures
  • Comfortable speaking with customers and ability to problem solve
  • Team player with a positive, professional and "no excuses" attitude
