Filtration Services Manager

Location: Barrie, ON
Job Type: Permanent

Travel: Approximately 70% throughout North America (primarily USA)

About the Opportunity

Our client is a well-established Canadian manufacturer specializing in innovative industrial solutions. They are seeking an experienced Filtration Services Manager to lead their field service operations across North America. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with a strong industrial background who enjoys travel, managing crews, and building long-term client relationships.

Position Summary

The Filtration Services Manager is responsible for leading all field service operations, including supervising a Service Supervisor and field crews performing filtration system maintenance and repairs throughout North America. This role works closely with the sales team to coordinate projects, ensures compliance with all safety regulations, oversees scheduling and resource planning, and drives operational excellence while maintaining exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel extensively throughout North America to oversee and support field service operations.
  • Coordinate service schedules with the sales team, including planned shutdowns and emergency service work.
  • Supervise filtration bag replacements, cleaning services, inspections, and mechanical repairs at customer sites.
  • Manage and coordinate labour resources across Canada and the United States.
  • Oversee company fleet vehicles and equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and availability.
  • Perform or assist with mechanical repairs and fabrication as required.
  • Lead, coach, and evaluate field service employees to ensure quality workmanship and productivity.
  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, including conducting safety meetings and ensuring proper PPE compliance.
  • Complete service reports, timesheets, expenses, and required documentation accurately and on time.
  • Develop long-term service strategies and preventative maintenance programs in collaboration with the sales team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, and internal departments.
QualificationsEducation
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and 10+ years of relevant industrial service management experience will also be considered.
Experience
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Industrial Filtration, Industrial Hygiene, or a related heavy industrial environment.
  • At least 5 years of management experience overseeing field service operations.
  • Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing plants and heavy industrial worksites.
  • Experience with baghouse systems, filtration equipment, HVAC systems, or similar industrial service operations is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety regulations, including OSHA, WSIB, and site safety procedures.
  • Comfortable using computer systems, reporting software, and online applications.
