The Data Entry Operator is responsible for updating and maintaining information within company databases and computer systems by collecting and entering data and maintaining accurate records of valuable company information. The role requires fast and accurate typing skills as well as familiarity with spreadsheets and online forms. The Data Entry Operator will work with quality and production teams at various levels of the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
  • Maintain production and quality data by inputting text based and numerical information from source documents into spreadsheets and various online forms
  • Compile, verify accuracy, and sort information according to priorities to prepare source data for computer entry
  • Review data for deficiencies or errors
  • Research and obtain further information for incomplete documents
  • Apply data program techniques and procedures
  • Generate reports, store completed work in designated locations, and perform backup operations
  • Scan documents and print files, when needed
  • Respond to queries for information and access relevant files
  • Comply with data integrity and security policies
  • Ensure proper use of office equipment and address any malfunctions

REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS, & KNOWLEDGE
• High school diploma and additional computer training or certification highly preferred
• Previous data entry work experience a plus
• Experience with MS Office and data programs
• Familiarity with administrative duties
• Experience using office equipment
• High level typing speed and accuracy
• Excellent knowledge of correct spelling, grammar and punctuation
