Job description

We're growing! We're looking for a passionate, driven and energetic candidate to join our Human Resources Department as a Human Resources Associate located at our Head Office in Guelph, Ontario. 
Compensation: 
Starting at $55,000 annually plus bonus. 

Looking for a chance to make your mark in a fast-paced, professional and fun environment?  As a Human Resources Associate, you will be providing HR support with a focus on recruitment and selection, employee relations and payroll and benefits administration while supporting our shared goal of creating meaningful value and an exceptional experience for our customers, our people and our communities.
What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for our residential operations team, including job postings, resume screening, interviews, and candidate communications using an ATS. 
  • Coordinate onboarding processes, including employment contracts, orientation delivery, background checks, and new hire communications.
  • Process payroll updates for employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Support employee relations activities, including investigations, performance management, policy guidance, and drafting HR-related documentation.
  • Maintain employee records through the HRIS, ensuring data accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with employment legislation.
  • Provide day-to-day HR support to employees and managers, responding to inquiries related to policies, benefits, and employment matters.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes, training, and initiatives that support a positive, high-performance workplace culture.

What You Bring

  • Knowledge of relevant employment legislation, e.g. ESA, OHSA and its regulations, WSIB, Human Rights, AODA, etc.
  • Experienced in administration and applicable payroll laws.
  • Demonstrated tact and diplomacy with highly confidential information.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Superior multi-tasking and organizational skills while remaining detail oriented.
  • Able to be proactive with good problem solving skills, judgment and innovation.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with an enthusiasm for working with the public.
  • Capable of operating under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Post-Secondary Education (HR Diploma/Degree preferred) and one (1) year related experience in Human Resources OR relevant combination of education and experience.
  • CHRP Designation or pursuit of is considered an asset.
