Customer Relation Manager information

What does a customer relation manager do?

A Customer Relation Manager (CRM) is responsible for maintaining and improving relationships between a company and its customers. They oversee client communications, address customer concerns, and work to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty. CRMs often analyze customer feedback and data to enhance service quality, resolve issues, and implement strategies for retention. Their role is crucial in building trust and fostering long-term business relationships.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a customer relation manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Customer Relation Manager, you need expertise in customer service practices, relationship management, and a relevant degree—often in business or communications. Familiarity with CRM software like Salesforce, Zendesk, or HubSpot, as well as data analysis tools, is typically required. Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication help build trust and loyalty with clients. These skills are crucial for maintaining customer satisfaction and driving business growth through lasting relationships.

How does a customer relation manager typically collaborate with other departments to enhance the customer experience?

Customer Relation Managers frequently work cross-functionally with teams such as sales, marketing, product development, and support. By sharing customer feedback and insights, they help shape product improvements and tailor marketing campaigns to better address client needs. Effective collaboration ensures that all departments are aligned in delivering a seamless and positive customer experience, which often leads to improved retention and satisfaction. Regular meetings, joint projects, and shared CRM tools are common ways these collaborations are structured.

Job description

At Dabadu, we're on the lookout for a driven and customer-centric Customer Relationship Manager who thrives on building genuine relationships and improving the customer experience from end to end. This is your opportunity to help shape the future of Customer Success at a growing startup that's rethinking how things should be done.

Our ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in onboarding, customer advocacy, issue resolution, and user adoption strategies. We're not a traditional organization... we value original thinking, challenge the status quo, and take pride in delivering exceptional products without rigid playbooks.

If you're passionate about turning customers into loyal champions and want to make a serious impact, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead customers through a smooth onboarding process, setting them up for long-term success and engagement
  • Build and maintain a communication strategy that drives satisfaction and strengthens customer relationships
  • Offer expert support around task and project collaboration to ensure clients are getting the most out of the platform
  • Conduct regular account reviews to check in on success, tackle any issues, and explore opportunities for deeper product adoption
  • Create and refine processes, resources, and strategies that help maximize product value across customer accounts
  • Analyze usage data to uncover insights and enhance experiences
  • Collaborate with the development team to pass on customer feedback and assist in testing new features and releases
  • Partner with Sales and Leadership to surface expansion opportunities and inform the broader business strategy
  • Provide product management with feedback and customer insights that drive improvements in adoption, retention, and satisfaction metrics

What We're Looking For:

  • A Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years in a client-facing role (Customer Success, Support, or Account Management preferred)
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills! You know how to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Enthusiastic, self-starter attitude with a team-focused mindset
  • Experience engaging with senior-level and executive stakeholders
  • Eagerness to work in a fast-paced, early-stage environment
  • Great at juggling priorities, managing projects, and staying organized
  • A solid understanding of SaaS business models and B2B platforms
  • Skilled at tailoring communication for different customer personas
  • Detail-oriented and methodical in your approach

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Bilingual fluency in English and French
  • Experience working with clients in the automotive retail space
  • Previous experience in a software startup environment

Why You'll Love Working Here:

  • Join a small, high-performing team creating meaningful technology
  • Contribute to the foundation of a growing company's operations and culture
  • Work in a fun, collaborative space that doesn't take itself too seriously
  • Enjoy strong coffee, great conversations, and team learning lunches every Friday
