Job description

Clairvest is a highly reputable mid-market Private Equity firm with >$4.5B of assets and ~50 employees. We are looking to hire an Investor Relations Associate to join our team and support our investor relations, communications, fundraising and marketing efforts. This individual would report directly to the Director of Investor Relations and Marketing and collaborate with the investment team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a high-performing professional to deepen their exposure to private equity, take on meaningful responsibility, and contribute directly to the firm’s growth and investor engagement strategy.

Overview:

The Investor Relations Associate will work with the Director of Investor Relations and Marketing and play an active role in communications, supporting fundraising processes, analytics, producing high quality marketing materials and overall relationships with stakeholders of the firm (inclusive of investors - limited partners (“LPs”), lenders and shareholders). The ideal candidate will possess a keen understanding of private equity, strong analytical skills, attention to detail and exceptional communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Investor Communication and Reporting:

  • Support preparation and distribution of investor materials, including quarterly reports, capital calls, distribution notices and ad-hoc communications.
  • Preparation, coordination and execution of Clairvest’s Limited Partner Annual General Meeting
  • Produce pitchbooks for prospective LPs
  • Collaborate with the Investment team to provide portfolio company updates

Fundraising & Investor Engagement

  • Support fundraising initiatives including LP diligence requests, due diligence questionnaires and data room management
  • Help manage relationships with existing and prospective LPs, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and engagement through accurate & timely reporting

Analytics and Market Insights

  • Analyze portfolio performance data and support the creation of investor presentations and materials
  • Conduct market and competitive landscape research to inform fundraising and communications
  • Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of the firm’s track record and performance metrics

Marketing & Branding

  • Support with external marketing collateral and branding initiatives (Website, LinkedIn, Mailchimp campaigns)
  • Produce marketing collateral to assist with deal marketing
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all external-facing materials

Systems & Data Management

  • Maintain the Company’s Limited Partner portal and CRM systems
  • Manage updates to industry databases (e.g., Preqin, PitchBook)
  • Improve internal processes related to investor reporting and communications

Assist with special projects and/or events

Qualifications:

  • 2-3+ years of experience in investor relations, financial analysis, private equity, accounting or a relevant role within the finance industry
  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred,
    • Progress towards or completion of CPA or CFA an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to synthesize complex information
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with high attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, investors and colleagues
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and manage projects independently, with the confidence to make judgment calls and see work through to completion
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Team-oriented mindset with a proactive, ownership-driven approach
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel; experience with programs like PowerBI and Canva or CRM systems are a plus
  • Early use and adoption of AI at work

Base Compensation Range: $70,000 - $90,000 CAD + potential bonus.
