About the role
The Project Manager leads intermediate Program and large sized Project teams that support execution of our New Product Development & Innovation roadmaps. In this role you will be supporting full development projects that may include both internal engineering & internal cross-functional teams in addition to co- development activities with third parties.
What you will do:
  • Leads cross functional and consultant/contractor team members assigned during the duration of a project to ensure timely completion of project deliverables. This could potentially include the development of Statements of Work associated with 3rd party vendor/partners and consultants/contractors specific to the deliverables of the Project.
  • Leads activities required to complete project documents: project plan(s) and schedule(s), charter/structure and roles/responsibilities, scope, budget(s), project ROI including on-going operating costs and resource requirements.
  • Develops project cost estimates and budgets for assigned projects and initiates cost control measure to ensure project budgets are met.
  • Communicates project status to team and stakeholders throughout the duration of the assignment and post implementation to make certain all impacted functional teams and stakeholders have an understanding of risks, issues and activities related to the project.
  • Obtains appropriate level of approval for all project documentation to ensure appropriate understanding of expectations amongst all stakeholders.
  • Provides leadership, coaching and guidance on a continuous basis to project team members in the areas of project lifecycle, operating procedures, processes and practices. Ensuring that the Project Management organization is consistent in their project management support.
  • Creates risk management plans to identify, analyze, monitor and respond to risks associated with the project to ensure ability to achieve expected outcomes on time and on budget.
  • Review the operational and engineering aspects of the project to assure compliance with project objectives. This includes participating in design reviews, project risk assessment, design FMEA, process FMEA, and other commercialization activities as required.
  • Responsible for: Revenue or cost responsibility between $1M and $5M per project, Typically lasts approximately one to two years, Involve multiple locations and/or third party partners, Large, cross-functional project teams including Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, Product Line Management, and other depending on the specific project, Leads 4-6 projects of varying sizes and complexity

What you will need:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ Years Project management experience.
  • Project Management (PMP, IPMA) preferred
  • Manufacturing Industry experience preferred. New Product development experience preferred.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams across multiple locations, and aligning the teams focus on achieving the project objective
  • Advanced level experience working with Microsoft Project or similiar project management software.
  • Advanced level experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Ability to build team cohesiveness and work cross functionally to achieve results.
  • Ability to promote a shared vision and customer focus.
  • Creates an environment that motivates, inspires and respects others.
  • Demonstrates a high level of competence in interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Extremely high proven competence in organization and planning skills.
