Join our team as a Financial Analyst III sitting at the intersection of finance, operations, and technology transformation within the IBO network. You will leverage data analytics, AI proficiency, and financial acumen to drive standardization and automation across finance processes, reducing manual work by 40-50%. This role offers a unique opportunity to transform traditional financial reporting through AI-enabled automation while providing strategic insights that optimize supply chain operations.
In this position, you will develop scalable financial controllership frameworks that grow independently of building count and support the transformation from a site-centric to hub-based structure. You'll translate complex operational metrics into actionable financial insights, balance standardization with network-specific needs, and contribute to AI-enabled finance transformation initiatives that have tangible business impact. Key job responsibilities
Analyze operational data to provide financial insights that optimize costs and drive business performance, applying your understanding of Amazon's financial processes and internal controls to existing products and tools.

A day in the life
Your day begins with analyzing operational data to identify cost optimization opportunities across the Inbound Operations network. You'll spend time developing or refining AI-powered dashboards that automatically detect anomalies and visualize trends. Throughout the day, you'll partner with operations teams to validate business assumptions, contribute to automated reporting systems, and participate in cross-functional councils where you'll provide financial perspectives on placement and quality strategy decisions. You'll balance your analytical work with collaborative sessions, driving data quality improvements and system integration while validating productivity metrics.

Our team supports multiple different networks that is the entry point of volume into the Amazon Fulfillment network, playing a critical role as financial advocates and business partners. We design, develop, and maintain performance measurements and reporting on strategic input drivers to continuously improve the economics of the business. Team members partner closely with a broad range of Senior Leaders in Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Technology.

About the team
This role will partner closely with a broad range of Senior Leaders in Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Procurement, Accounting, HR and Technology. This role plays a critical role as a financial advocate and business partner. This role will design, develop, and maintain performance measurements and reporting on strategic input drivers to continuously improve the economics of the business.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, and Computer Science)
- 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
