Addison Group is partnering with an innovative global organization in the biotechnology industry to identify a Customer Operations Specialist. This newly created position is designed to enhance inventory visibility, improve order fulfillment efficiency, and support customers across international regions. The ideal candidate enjoys solving operational challenges, collaborating across departments, and ensuring customer orders move seamlessly from planning through delivery.
Job Description
As the Customer Operations Specialist, you will oversee day-to-day order activities while helping ensure inventory availability and operational accuracy within ERP. Working closely with internal departments and external partners, you'll play a key role in maintaining customer satisfaction, reducing order delays, and improving overall supply chain performance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the progress of customer orders from planning through shipment, ensuring each stage of the fulfillment process is completed accurately and on time.
  • Monitor open orders, inventory availability, supplier activity, and fulfillment exceptions to proactively resolve issues.
  • Track inventory levels, demand forecasts, product allocations, and upcoming customer commitments to support operational planning.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Customer Service, Warehouse, Finance, Commercial, and external vendors to eliminate fulfillment obstacles.
  • Review aging orders and identify potential risks affecting customer deliveries or revenue recognition.
  • Maintain detailed reports, dashboards, and action plans to improve operational visibility and accountability.
  • Investigate recurring process issues and recommend workflow improvements that increase efficiency and reduce delays.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives by identifying training opportunities and strengthening operational procedures.
  • Help drive backlog reduction through organized follow-up and cross-functional coordination.

Qualifications
  • Between 3-7 years of experience with full cycle customer service, focusing on order management, determining available inventory, supply chain and final invoicing for on time customer delivery.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Teams.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to collaborate across departments and follow through on complex issues.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
