Customer Logistics & Operations Coordinator

Company: W.O. Zangger & Son, Inc., d/b/a Zangger Popcorn Hybrids

Position Type: Full-Time | Location: Ord, Nebraska


About the Role

Zangger Popcorn Hybrids is seeking a Customer Logistics & Operations Coordinator to join our Customer Work Order (CWO) team in support of domestic and international seed logistics, customer fulfillment, and day-to-day operational coordination.


This position serves as the operational hub supporting our Customer Work Order (CWO) Team Lead and works closely with Processing, Quality Control, Finance, Sales, and Production to ensure customer orders move accurately and efficiently from order entry through shipment. 


The ideal candidate is punctual, consistent, highly organized, process-oriented, detail-focused, and enjoys bringing order to complex operations. While this is not a supervisory position, the role serves as a key 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, operational coordinator responsible for maintaining workflow, supporting customer fulfillment activities, coordinating shipping documentation, maintaining operational workflows, and helping ensure every shipment meets Zangger's quality and customer service standards. 


Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily CWO activities supporting domestic and international customer shipments.
  • Coordinate customer orders from receipt through shipment completion, including packing lists, shipping documents, export paperwork, labels, tags, pallet documentation, and related records.
  • Coordinate with Processing, Quality Control, Finance, Sales, Logistics, and Production to keep orders moving accurately and efficiently.
  • Schedule and track inbound/outbound freight with carriers, freight forwarders, vendors, and customers.
  • Support receiving activities, provide front-office reception for visitors and vendors, and facilitate day-to-day communication. 
  • Maintain accurate records using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, ERP systems, and shipping software.
  • Verify order accuracy, follow safety and quality procedures, and support process improvements.


Qualifications

  • Associateโ€™s or Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Agriculture, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
  • Two or more years of experience in logistics, shipping, operations coordination, customer service, supply chain, or administrative operations preferred.
  • Experience with shipments, freight carriers, inventory, customer orders, export documentation, or freight forwarding preferred.
  • Strong organization, written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
  • Demonstrated initiative, reliability and commitment to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, process-driven environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; ERP or shipping software experience preferred.


Physical & Working Conditions

  • Primarily office-based with regular interaction in warehouse, processing, and shipping environments.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Occasional seasonal overtime during peak shipping periods.
