What is the opportunity?

The role supports RBC Wealth Management Businesses (e.g. Direct Investing, Invest Ease) to deliver superior client experiences by using in depth knowledge of varied products, processes and applications in order to provide comprehensive resolution to internal service partners for documentation review. We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team at RBC Wealth Management as an Operations New Accounts and Documentation Associate. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently and accurately processing complex new account applications and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.

What will you do?

  • Review and process new account applications, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate.

  • Conduct thorough due diligence checks and verification procedures to meet regulatory and compliance standards.

  • Review and update customer KYC information and approve accounts in accordance with established policies and procedures.

  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.

  • Participate in training programs to stay updated on product knowledge, operational procedures, and industry regulations.

  • Collaborate with team members and support a positive and cooperative work environment.

What do you need to succeed?

Must haves:

  • Post-Secondary Education, preferably in business, finance or related field

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to account opening and documentation.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in processing and verifying documentation.

  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with operations systems and MS Office Suite.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve issues effectively.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in Wealth Management Operations or Direct Investing is an asset

  • Knowledge of applications used in WM Operations
