Ferrellgas is looking for an Account Manager to join our team! The Account Manager is the leader in driving new profitable business, creating business relationships that build customer loyalty and maintaining customer base of the service center. The Account Manager position requires a broad knowledge of the organization's policies, products, and/or services. Must be able to articulate functions and safety aspects in regard to propane systems to customer base and prospects. Typically requires a bachelor's degree and 1+ years of sales experience.

Responsibilities
  • Develops a plan for their territory to grow profitably across all Ferrellgas business segments.
  • Collaborates closely with local SC/SU's, specifically GM's, to ensure targeted growth areas to help support operational efficiencies.
  • Identifies prospective customers and qualifies sales opportunities.
  • Builds and maintains key customer relationships.
  • Makes value-based sales presentation to prospective customers.
  • Builds and maintains customer files, utilizing Salesforce.com; power point presentations and follow up letters.
  • Monitors the new customer installation process.
  • Ensures customer satisfaction and safety.
  • Works with service center to drive growth in all business segments including retail, Autogas, and Blue Rhino.
  • Builds and maintains a pipeline of new prospects, closed business, and installed business to meet objectives.
  • Works with the General Manager and Marketing Department to develop marketing plans and strategies for growth.
  • Strong interaction as needed with the Customer Experience Team and CSS's.
  • Communicates new customer expectations and follows through on commitments.
  • Responsible for meeting annual sales GMD and business segment goals.
  • Utilizes most current OCF/AFE profitability models to ensure accurate information is compiled for margin requirements
  • Leverages trade associations and trading partners to grow existing and new business opportunities.
  • Becomes the eyes/ears for competitive information in their market and reports on this regularly.
  • Utilizes Salesforce CRM for all leads, prospects and customers management.
  • Special project work as requested by Division Sales Manager.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of proven sales success meeting and exceeding sales quotas. 
  • 1+ years of sales experience in related business.
  • Good customer service skills including working well with others.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to pass background check and have clean driving record.
  • Completed sales training programs with previous experience.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills including but not limited to, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Zoom, and MS Teams.
  • SFA - Salesforce Automation Software experience preferred.
  • Self-starter and team focused.
  • Proven sales background of achieving sales goals preferred.
  • Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States
