Job Summary

The logistics coordinator will oversee daily internal transfers, company CDL Drivers and customer logistics functions.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Schedules shipments both inbound and outbound
  • Arrange pickup and deliveries with approved carriers
  • Monitors inventory via ERP system
  • Assists customer service representatives with order status inquiries and special customer needs.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound deliveries with multiple company locations
  • Investigate and report damaged outbound deliveries with multiple company locations.
  • Maintain metric reports as required by management and/or customers.
  • Continuously increase knowledge of company procedures, products and services.
  • Investigate and report damaged outbound shipments, work with Warehouse Team to improve quality
  • Track shipments with carriers for both inbound and outbound shipments
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, company policies, GMP, GDP, and sanitation requirements
  • Prepare and maintain shipping documentation, including bills of lading and delivery records
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to logistics and transportation
  • Maintain accurate records in logistics, ERP (SAGE), or warehouse management systems (Scanforce)

  • Proficiency with computerized distribution systems – Uber Freight etc..
  • Prior experience/exposure to domestic and international logistics and transportation.
  • Knowledge of DOT Regulations, US Customs Compliance, C-TPAT, FAST, PIP and/or ACE e-Manifest helpful.


Requirements:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in freight coordination, logistics, or transportation operations
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to work in a food manufacturing and warehouse environment
  • Basic computer proficiency (email, spreadsheets, logistics or inventory systems)

Preferred Requirements

  • Bilingual – Spanish
  • ERP experience with SAGE 100, SAP, JDE and Open Dock
  • Prior experience in food manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environments
  • Familiarity with GMPs, food safety standards, and warehouse operations

Work Environment & Physical demands

  • Work is performed primarily in a warehouse/office setting
  • Requires sitting, standing, walking, during the workday
  • May be exposed to temperature variations, noise, and moving equipment.
