Job description

Title - Greeter
Full-Time - 9am-5:30pm
Compensation $18.00
Position Purpose: The Customer Greeter/Way finder role facilitates and provides support and services to all customers coming to Saint Anthony Hospital. The Customer Greeter/Way finder is responsible for creating a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and family members in the entry area of the hospital. The Customer Greeter/Way finder will support and promote customer service improvement initiatives for the organization.
Essential Functions (list in order of importance including measures)
Provide support to all customers by performing the following:
  1. Greet and welcome patients, family members, visitors, vendors, other guests, and employees in a professional manner.

  1. The Greeter/Way Finder assists patients and visitors with directions, general inquiries, and checking in and out of the hospital.

  1. The Greeter/Way Finder will accompany patients and visitors to their destination (different departments/units within the hospital).

  1. Expands understanding of patient's needs, working to ensure that all patients have access to services offered by Saint Anthony Hospital.

  1. Perform rounds as required in the ED, Clinic, Registration and Front desk waiting areas to ensure patients are being assisted and /or kept aware of wait time expectations.

  1. Works closely with Patient Experience Coordinator and Director for service recovery.

  1. Alert staff immediately to any signs of patient distress or equipment malfunction.

  1. The Greeters/Way finder will assist by making rounds in the hallways and restroom areas to ensure cleanliness.

  1. Adhere to confidentiality and patient's rights policy as outlined in the healthcare facility's HIPAA policies and procedures.

  1. Work independently and as part of the team.

  1. Perform other duties as assigned by the Patient Experience Director.
