Overview
As a Sr. Project Manager in Controls&Electrical Engineering, you will lead project delivery across Atlas OT's portfolio of offerings. You will own project execution strategy, resource planning, financial performance, client satisfaction, and continuous improvement for the Projects organization. This is a hands-on leadership role combining strategicoversight with operational accountability for multi-discipline teamsincluding subcontractors and vendors (controls, electrical,instrumentation, panel fabrication, commissioning, and fieldservices). Director of Projects will be instrumental in direct project management, sales support and initiatives, and partner satisfaction.
Duties
  • Strategic Leadership: Define andexecute project delivery strategy, standards, and KPIs forrepeatable, scalable project execution. Partner with BusinessDevelopment and Sales leadership to align backlog, capacity, andgenerate new opportunities.
  • Project Delivery and FinancialPerformance: Own P&L for assigned projects: scope, estimating,margin protection, change management, and closeout. Ensure projectsmeet schedule, budget, quality, and safety targets. Drive continuousimprovement in estimating accuracy, schedule predictability, andmargin recovery.
  • Resource and Utilization Management:Manage utilization targets across project managers, engineers, andfield staff.
  • Business Development and Sales: Supportand drive pursuit strategy for strategic accounts and capitalprojects. Collaborate on proposals, technical solutions, and clientpresentations to convert opportunities into projects.
  • Client Engagement and TechnicalOversight: Act as senior technical and commercial point of contactfor key clients. Translate complex OT/controls solutions intoclient-facing proposals and commercial terms. Oversee technicalquality: review P&IDs, PFDs, control narratives, PLC/HMIarchitecture, and FAT/SAT plans.
  • People and Vendor Management: Supporthiring, mentorship, and develop project managers, engineers, andtechnical leads. Manage external partners, panel shops, andsubcontractors to ensure compliance with Atlas OT standards.
  • Risk, Compliance, and Safety: Enforcesafety, security, and compliance requirements on projects and clientsites. Ensure customer-mandated safety training and background/drugscreening requirements are met.
  • Standards Development: Develop, manageand enforce best practices, industry standards, and Atlas OT QualityManagement System.
  • Hybrid schedule with regular on-siteproject presence; average workweek may exceed 40 hours with extendedperiods near proposal deadlines. Travel to client sites and vendorfacilities as required.

Requirements
Skills Mastery
  • Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, DCS, HMIdevelopment, control logic, alarming, and trending. Familiaritywith major platforms (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider, ABB,Emerson) and CodeSys. Experience with electrical andinstrumentation design, control panel fabrication standards(UL508A/698A), and FAT/SAT processes.
  • Business Skills: Strong estimating, commercial negotiation,and P&L management experience. Proficiency with MS Office,estimating software, and project management tools.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication;ability to present technical solutions to non-technicalstakeholders. Strong organizational discipline, attention todetail, and ability to lead cross-functional teams.

Work Experience
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical,Mechanical, Controls) or equivalent technical degree; advanceddegree preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years in industrial automation, controls, or EPCproject delivery with progressive leadership responsibility; proventrack record in oil & gas, energy, manufacturing,water/wastewater, or heavy industrial sectors.PMP, PE, or relevantproject management/certification preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
  • Willingness to complete customer-mandated safety training, work inplant environments and varying weather.
