Job description

Position Summary

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving profitable new business growth across advanced technology portfolio, including Rigid PCB, Flex PCB, Rigid-Flex PCB, and assembly solutions.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Business Development – Americas, this role focuses on identifying, developing, and securing strategic customer opportunities that generate sustainable revenue growth and operating profit while expanding presence in targeted high-growth market segments.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Revenue Growth

Report to the Americas Regional Sales Lead and drive new business development across assigned market segments and territories.Identify, target, and develop new customer opportunities with significant revenue, profitability, and long-term growth potential.

Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, engineering teams, procurement organizations, and leadership stakeholders.Develop and execute account acquisition strategies to secure new design wins and production opportunities.

Sales Leadership & Opportunity Management

Manage the complete sales cycle from prospect identification through contract execution, production launch, and revenue realization.Lead customer presentations, value proposition development, proposal preparation, quotation reviews, and commercial negotiations.

Maintain ownership and accountability for all opportunities within the sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-up and progression of quoted business.Drive closure of pending opportunities by proactively identifying barriers, coordinating internal resources, and advancing customer decisions.

Strategic Planning & Forecasting

Partner closely with Americas Regional Sales Lead, Application Engineering, Asia-based Operations, and Leadership teams to develop and execute advanced technology growth strategies.

Maintain accurate pipeline management and provide revenue forecasts for key accounts and prospects across short- and long-term planning horizons.Identify emerging market trends, technology shifts, competitive dynamics, and customer requirements to support strategic business planning.

Customer & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Serve as the primary commercial interface between customers and manufacturing, engineering, and operational organizations.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align customer requirements with technical capabilities and strategic objectives.

Support customer project management, business reviews, escalation management, and strategic account planning.

Recommend solutions that leverage manufacturing capabilities, engineering expertise, and advanced technology roadmap.

Commercial & Financial AccountabilityLead negotiations related to pricing, commercial terms, supply arrangements, and other business matters.

Partner with Finance and customers to proactively resolve accounts receivable issues, order holds, and other commercial matters.

Participate in profitability analysis, business reviews, and performance tracking activities.Monitor key business metrics and drive corrective actions to achieve revenue and operating profit objectives.

Travel and Work Schedule FlexibilityTravel as required to support customer engagement, business development initiatives, industry events, and internal business activities.

Demonstrate flexibility to support customers and business operations across multiple global time zones, including participation in meetings and calls outside standard business hours when necessary.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience.Proven track record of successful business development and sales leadership within the PCB, electronics manufacturing, EMS, semiconductor, or related technology industries, including developing and managing complex sales opportunities with OEMs, CMs, and other technology-focused customers.Technical knowledge, experience, or educational background in PCB/PCBA, electronics, electromechanical systems, or related technologies.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Highly self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and results orientation.

Established network of industry contacts and strong relationships within targeted market segments.Strong understanding of PCB manufacturing technologies, advanced circuit board solutions, and electronics manufacturing processes.

Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts, manufacturing capabilities, and value propositions to engineering and executive audiences.

Strong commercial acumen with experience negotiating pricing, commercial, and supply terms with customers and building strategic business partnerships.

Demonstrated expertise in pipeline management, forecasting, business planning, and opportunity qualification.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Additional Qualifications

Strong written and verbal English communication skills required.Additional language capabilities, particularly Mandarin, are considered a plus.
