Job Summary

The Senior Development Manager will lead the next phase of growth for Luxor's Medical & Healthcare vertical, a strategic expansion area with untapped potential. This position offers the opportunity to build and shape a vertical from the ground up. You will develop identify new market opportunities, develop channel strategies, establish strategic partnerships, and create a sustainable growth engine for the organization. This role is ideal for a driven sales professional who is energized by prospecting, opening doors, influencing strategy, and creating new revenue streams that shape the future of the business.ย 

The Senior Development Manager owns the growth strategy and market expansion efforts for the Medical/Healthcare vertical, driving revenue through new customer acquisition, channel development, strategic partnerships, and targeted expansion within high-potential healthcare segments including distributors, national medical-surgical suppliers, group purchasing organizations (GPOs), integrated delivery networks (IDNs), government agencies, and emerging healthcare channels.ย 

This role is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, engaging senior-level decision makers and influencers, establishing relationships in underpenetrated markets, and creating pathways for long-term growth. The position balances near-term revenue generation with strategic market development initiatives designed to expand Luxor's presence across noted healthcare channels. ย 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Deliver sales targets for the Medical/Healthcare vertical, with direct accountability for driving new business growth and achieving quarterly and annual revenue objectives. ย 
  • Build and direct vertical growth strategy using market intelligence, competitive analysis, and sales data to identify priority opportunities and guide market expansion efforts
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities across healthcare distribution, hospital systems, GPOs, IDNs, government agencies, and emerging healthcare channels
  • Develop and execute strategic territory and market penetration plans focused on customer acquisition, channel recruitment, and long-term revenue growth.
  • Establish and cultivate executive-level relationship with prospective customers, channel partners, industry influencers, and key decision makers.
  • Lead channel development efforts by identifying, recruiting, onboarding, and scaling new regional and independent medical distributors.
  • Own sales forecasting and pipeline management for the vertical, ensuring accurate visibility into growth opportunities and demand trends.
  • Represent Luxor and healthcare industry events, trade shows, customer meetings, and association activities to build visibility, generate leads, and strengthen market presence.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product, IT, Operations, and Customer Service to develop go-to-market strategies, launch new healthcare initiatives, support channel onboarding, and enhance the customer experience
Job Requirements

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify customer, channel, and market opportunities, contributing new product & portfolio insights to support growth strategy
  • Maintain strong awareness of market trends, distributor dynamics, competitive positioning, GPO activity, and customer purchasing behavior.
  • Own sales activity and performance reporting, ensuring accurate pipeline visibility
  • Proactively manage and resolve customer issues, escalating as needed to protect relationships, revenue, and service quality
  • Travel required (30-50%) depending on business needs, customer engagement, tradeshows, and seasonality
  • All other duties and projects as assigned

Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Demonstrated success in business development, market expansion, channel development, and strategic sales within B2B healthcare, medical supply, medical distribution, or related
  • Strong understanding of healthcare buying channels and market dynamics, including distributors, GPOs, IDNs, national accounts, and complex healthcare procurement processes.
  • Proven ability to identify whitespace opportunities, penetrate new markets, secure strategic partnerships, and convert prospects into sustainable revenue streams.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and effective at long-term planning and prioritization skills
  • Strong analytical, forecasting, and business review capabilities
  • Clear, confident communicator with strong presentation and written/verbal communication skills
  • Solutions-oriented problem solver with a results-driven mindset.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or related field
  • 5-7 years' sales experience, including at least 3-5 years in outside sales
  • B2B experience selling into or through healthcare, medical supply, medical distribution, GPO, IDN, hospital system, or related channel accounts
  • Experience working with or selling through organizations such as McKesson, Medline, NDC, MarketLab, or similar healthcare distributors and suppliers
