About the role
Job Summary
This position will work closely with JWC Sales team to facilitate the continued growth of the Industrial Division. The Application Engineer will act as primary liaison between JWC sales, engineering & operations teams to recommend best-in-class equipment solutions. Responsibilities include customer needs-analysis, process understanding, application intricacies, team collaboration and development of equipment solutions in a time sensitive environment. Finished products of the Application Engineer will include CAD drawings, product recommendations combined with technical capabilities of JWC equipment specific to the customer's application. Position will require customer communication during various stages of the sales cycle. Some post-sales support may be needed to facilitate complete customer satisfaction. Other responsibilities may include enhancing CAD library, support of the equipment rentals program and helping facilitate grind-test demonstrations.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Understand customer requirements to deliver best-in-class JWC product recommendations
  • Responsible for creating CAD drawings and equipment specifications in timely fashion
  • Produce drawings that demonstrate JWC equipment placement within customer's processes
  • Establish & support sales to deliver a high level of customer satisfaction during pre-sales activities
  • Work closely with JWC engineers and operational teams to facilitate successful post-sales activities
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational, communication and problem solving skills
  • Exhibit proficient knowledge and use of company systems and software
  • Build exceptional internal relationships with all JWC departments and divisions
  • Maintains a professional image as a representative of the Company.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Adhere to Company Values with excellent communication and collaboration

Skills & Qualifications
  • Required: Associate's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Desirable: Bachelor's Degree
  • Fluent in AutoCAD, Solidworks, Inventor or other 3D drawing programs
  • Knowledge or working experience of industrial processes and process machinery. Experience in food and beverage, manufacturing, marine, waste & recycling industries will be a plus
  • 2-3 years of experience in a customer-facing role, ideally working alongside sales or customer service teams
  • Industrial design experience or schooling a plus
  • Team player, goal oriented, excellent communicator with good mechanical aptitude
  • Enjoys fast-paced working environment with constant team communication
  • Ability to work independently when required
  • Creative mind and can-do attitude

Salary: $85K - $90K
