Title: OpenShift Architect

Location: Redwood CA (Hybrid)

Duration: Full-time

Job Description: 

The role focuses on designing and guiding implementations of Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization Platform and migrating VMware Virtual Machines to Red Hat OpenShift platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and Design:
    • Develop architectural design for Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization Platform.
  • Implementation:
    • Deploy and configure OpenShift Virtualization Platform.
    • Propose and implement best practices in OCP virtualization platform.
    • Address infrastructure concerns: networking, storage, virtualization, security, logging, monitoring, high availability.
  • Customer Engagement:
    • Conduct discovery, analysis, and design workshops.
    • Guide customers through pilot and production deployments.
  • Automation & Integration:
    • Use tools like Ansible automation.
    • Implement CI/CD pipelines within OpenShift.
  • Knowledge Sharing:
    • Create reusable methodologies and tools to scale services.
    • Contribute best practices and lessons learned to internal communities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat Virtualization, RHEL, VMware Virtualization and Ansible.
    • Deep understanding of Kubernetes, containerization (Docker), and Linux systems.
    • Familiarity with Dell and HPE Enterprise Servers and Storage Systems.
    • Experience on migrating workloads from VMware to OpenShift using Red Hat Migration Toolkit for Virtualization (MTV)
