Senior Developer Platform Engineer

Focus

Developer Productivity, from local dev to build & test pipelines to release readiness, with AI enablement at every stage.

Role Summary

You are contributing to building and enhancing the "Developer Inner Loop", by maintaining platform capabilities and implementing AI‑powered tooling that improves developer productivity across local development, CI/CD, testing infrastructure, and release workflows. You will partner closely with architects and fellow teammates to translate architectural vision, with a primary focus on hands‑on implementation and operational excellence. You will empower our product teams to ship with unprecedented speed, precision, and confidence.

Core Competencies & Responsibilities
  • SDLC Execution & Enablement:

Implement enhancements to the software delivery lifecycle that reduce friction for product engineering teams. Build and maintain standardized CI/CD pipelines and developer workflows based on defined architecture. Support the adoption of ephemeral environments and streamlined local development tooling. Drive automation across build, test, and deployment workflows.

  • Shift‑Left Quality & Governance:

Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks and infrastructure aligned with shift‑left quality goals. Enable teams to integrate component and end‑to‑end testing into their workflows. Contribute to reliability, performance, and scalability of testing systems. Provide tooling and infrastructure that enable teams to own quality.

  • Platform Implementation & Operations:

Build and enhance core components of the developer platform with a focus on stability and usability. Contribute to identifying and resolving bottlenecks in developer workflows and platform performance. Support data collection for developer productivity and platform performance metrics. Develop scripts and lightweight tooling to automate platform capabilities and workflows. Support engineering teams in adopting platform tooling and workflows.

Experience
  • Senior: 5+ years in progressively complex software engineering roles.
Nice‑to‑have Technical Skills
  • End‑to‑end delivery of internal engineering systems—discovery, tech approach definition, rollout, and iteration.
  • Scoping and delegating work to teammates.
  • Microservices deployment on Kubernetes (AWS, GCP, Azure) with strategies such as canary and blue‑green.
  • Building and maintaining efficient CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins) to automate testing and deployment.
  • GitOps, ArgoCD, and local development/build tooling (e.g., Gradle, Bazel).
  • Supporting developer experience (DevEx) tooling.
