Job description

About Bold Orange:
Bold Orange (BOCO) is a customer experience company. We believe authentic human connections are the single most important driver of business and societal progress. We exist to create these connections across the customer lifecycle, from acquisition to engagement to retention. Our culture is one of curiosity, collaboration, proactivity and always bringing the outside, future focused perspective to our clients.
Position Summary:
Bold Orange (BOCO)'s growing Analytics & Insights team is seeking a Senior Analyst with at least 5 years of hands-on experience analyzing marketing & transactional customer datasets and experience utilizing statistical models and tests to bring forward insights into the customer experience.
The Senior Analyst will lead the hands-on analytics of client projects end-to-end, with support and mentorship from a Director. This work can include identifying datasets worth analyzing, provisioning & cleaning data, data exploration & modelling (segmentation, forecasting, A/B testing, etc.), developing actionable insights, designing and building compelling data visualizations, and presenting findings and recommendations to clients.
Across BOCO Analytics projects, the Senior Analyst will need to leverage previous experience and bring a curious, creative energy for continuous learning. Our team brings a curious and agile mentality to exploring new domains in customer analytics. We apply fundamental understanding of analytics skills to diverse datasets that may include POS / Ecomm transactions, search / AI & web engagement, email & SMS, media investment, product and store reviews and more.
The ideal candidate has a strong curiosity for understanding customer experience and a desire to explore how each touchpoint defines a customer's relationship with a brand. They bring at least 5 years of hands-on marketing analytics experience including knowledge of SQL / Python, comfort with Snowflake and/or other cloud data platforms, and demonstrated experience organizing, integrating, analyzing, and interpreting data to form a clear, compelling story.
Responsibilities:
  • Analyze integrated marketing and customer journey datasets to understand the drivers of success/failure in the context of client strategy and develop clear recommendations for a non-technical audience.
  • Enrich and analyze clients' transactional data to understand what drives customer value, how purchasing patterns are shifting over time, and what levers they can pull to maximize customer loyalty and lifetime value.
  • Explore and learn to leverage new analytics datasets and tools, helping clients understand how they can support insights and optimization.
  • Design, build, and train clients to understand reporting, dashboards, and performance insights for ongoing client delivery (Data Studio, PowerBI, Tableau, PowerPoint).
  • Present and discuss analysis with internal stakeholders and clients, including adapting content for different audiences.
  • Build and maintain data architecture documentation to ensure clarity across teams on what datasets are canonical and where they come from.

Required Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years' domain experience within marketing, retail, or customer analytics or a related field.
  • Experience with data analysis & visualization tools including Tableau, PowerBI, Data Studio or similar.
  • Experience with deep analysis of customer & transactions data, including segmentation, customer lifetime value (LTV), churn/loyalty risk analysis, propensity modeling, etc.
  • Experience using AI tools (including skills / agents) to accelerate data analysis, code generation, or insight development.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, analytics, data science, economics, social sciences, or related discipline with exposure to statistical / quantitative analysis.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and Python for analytics and data warehouses (Snowflake, Databricks, AWS Redshift, BigQuery, etc.)
  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment where analytics supports and works closely with tech, strategy, and client teams.
  • Innately curious and desire to learn new skills and new tools
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written. This is a client-facing analytics role.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience using analytics to persuade business stakeholders to change practices, make new investments, and/or shift priorities.
  • Experience with digital experience analytics tools including Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, and/or SEMRush.
