Job Summary
We are seeking an Industrial Controls Engineer specializing in PC, PLC and HMI programming for custom machinery projects. This role focuses on developing, testing, and commissioning control logic and operator interfaces to ensure optimal machine performance. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills and experience integrating automation components.
Key Responsibilities
  • Create source code for PC base industrial control systems.
  • Design and program PLC logic for custom machinery (Rockwell/Allen-Bradley preferred).
  • Develop HMI interfaces for operator interaction.
  • Test and debug control programs to ensure reliability.
  • Integrate motion control systems, sensors, and safety devices.
  • Support on-site installation and commissioning of programmed systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve programming issues during build and post-installation phases.
  • Maintain software documentation and version control.
  • Coordinate with contractors during installation for programming adjustments.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in PLC and HMI programming.
  • Proficiency in Rockwell Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk View, or Siemens TIA Portal.
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, ProfiNET).
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Travel: 30% - 50%

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with robotics and motion control programming.
  • Familiarity with safety PLCs and advanced diagnostics.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple programming tasks.
