Facilities360 is seeking an experienced, hands-on Account Manager to oversee custodial operations for Montclair Public Schools. This leadership position is responsible for managing daily custodial operations across multiple school facilities, ensuring exceptional service delivery, employee engagement, quality assurance, and client satisfaction.
The successful candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for district leadership, custodial staff, and Facilities360 management while leading a team dedicated to maintaining clean, safe, and healthy learning environments.
Position Summary
The Account Manager will provide operational leadership and oversight for approximately 920,000 square feet of educational facilities throughout Montclair Public Schools. This role requires strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on quality, safety, employee relations, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage all day-to-day custodial operations throughout the district
• Conduct routine inspections and quality assurance audits
• Develop and maintain staffing schedules and site assignments
• Lead employee onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements and district expectations
• Coordinate special projects, summer cleaning, floor care, and event support
• Maintain positive relationships with district administrators and facility personnel
• Monitor inventory, equipment, chemicals, and supply usage
• Investigate and resolve operational concerns promptly
• Prepare operational reports and performance metrics
• Participate in transition planning and mobilization activities
• Support safety programs and regulatory compliance
Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years custodial management experience
• Experience managing K-12 school custodial operations preferred
• Strong leadership and employee development skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Experience with quality assurance programs and inspections
• Knowledge of floor care, carpet care, and custodial best practices
• Ability to manage multiple facilities and priorities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and mobile technology
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working in union environments (SEIU/32BJ preferred)
• School district custodial management experience
• Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Arabic) a plus
• Experience with transition and mobilization projects
