V-Tech Solutions, Inc. ("V-Tech") is committed to training the next generation of District of Columbia healthcare professionals through hands-on, competency-based learning. Our focus is on practical skills, real-world application, and high-quality instruction to prepare students for rewarding careers in healthcare.
We are seeking a passionate Nursing Instructor to help develop and teach our District of Columbia Board of Nursing-approved Nursing Assistant Certification program. This position is 100% in-person, offering the opportunity to directly shape healthcare professionals through engaging classroom and hands-on lab instruction. As a key member of our founding team, you will play an integral role in curriculum development, student training, and implementing innovative teaching methods to ensure graduates excel in their certification exams and thrive in their healthcare careers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Development: Collaborate on creating and refining a cutting-edge Nursing Assistant Certification curriculum, aligning with D.C. Board of Nursing requirements while incorporating best practices in healthcare education.
  • In-Person Instruction: Deliver dynamic classroom and hands-on lab sessions in an engaging, student-centered environment that fosters critical thinking and clinical confidence.
  • Clinical and Skills Training: Provide expert practical demonstrations, supervise skill-building exercises, and prepare students for real-world patient care scenarios through simulation and practice.
  • Classroom & Lab Management: Create and maintain an organized, interactive learning environment, including managing equipment and supplies to ensure optimal learning experiences.
  • Student Evaluation: Assess student performance through meaningful in-class participation, comprehensive lab skills demonstrations, and thorough clinical evaluations.
  • Compliance & Standards: Uphold Holt Health Academy policies and D.C. Board of Nursing guidelines to maintain instructional excellence and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with demonstrated supervisory experience
  • Minimum 5 years of nursing experience in diverse healthcare settings
  • At least 1 year of experience caring for the elderly or chronically ill (within the past 5 years)
  • Enthusiasm for curriculum development and program building
  • Completion of "Train the Trainer" (16-hour Principles of Adult Education) course or 2+ years of teaching experience
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with a passion for in-person teaching and mentoring diverse student populations
