Dance Instructor For Karnes City, TX
Position Summary:
The Dance Instructor is responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations or their assigned HSL Youth Foundation School of Dance. This role combines dance instruction, curriculum development, student engagement and recital production to provide a positive and enriching dance experience for students and family. This position is part-time.
You must be passionate about dance and education, enjoy working with children, demonstrate strong leadership and organizational skills. Must be 18 years of age, with 2 years of teaching experience, or 3 years as an assistant dance instructor. Ability to pass criminal background and sex offender screening.
Responsibilities:
Manage annual student registration and class placement.
Develop and maintain an organized class schedule.
Communicate effectively with parents, students, and Parent Liaisons.
Monitor program expenses and submit required reports.
Dance Instructor & Curriculum:
Teaching classes in ballet, jazz, and tap.
Create age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum for all levels.
Choreograph and teach recital routines for all assigned classes.
Select music, costumes, and performance concepts appropriate for each age group.
Ensure dances are cleaned, polished, and performance ready.
Coordinate rehearsals and performance schedules.
Work is in the San Antonio and surrounding areas. Pay is based on experience, and mileage may be paid depending on location.
