Job description

Small Elementary School is seeking a kindergarten teacher who will work closely with teaching peers, special educators, ESOL educators, support staff, and administration to maximize academic and social-emotional success for all students. Job responsibilities include: planning and implementing proficiency-based curriculum design, instruction and assessment; managing an inclusive classroom with Responsive Classroom and PBIS approach; creating purposeful, integrated and engaging instructional experiences for students; and active involvement in the RtI process and MTSS systems for academics and behavior. 

Strong candidates will be highly collaborative, flexible, skilled at differentiating instruction, committed to working toward equity and inclusion in a diverse learning community, and motivated to act as a school leader. Teaching experience at the primary level and ELL endorsement are preferred. 

Maine General Elementary 020 (K-8) OR Early Elementary 029 (K-3) certification required.  Preference will be given to those who current hold certification.
