Job Description:

Under direct supervision, learns to in-depth skills in functional area. Develops initial expertise and works on small projects for review by supervisor. May learn to develop or provide input on the department or program plans.

Position Responsibilities

  • Assist Prof. Ordonez in developing and implementing the RQM curriculum
  • Review project documents for accuracy and clarity
  • Attend weekly 1-hour virtual meetings with GA DPH and Emory teams
  • Collect and organize project-related data
  • Analyze survey data
  • Support planning and delivery of a 3-day RQM training (2 in-person days + day online)
    • Location:Georgia locality outside Atlanta (TBD)
    • Travel expenses covered by GA DPH
  • Commit to working:
    • 5 hours/weekduring the academic year
    • 20 hoursduring the training week in Spring 2026

Qualifications and Position Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of qualitative methods (coursework or experience)
  • Availability for all 3 days of training, including two days of travel outside Atlanta during the 2026 spring
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Effective communication and self-direction
  • Familiarity with HIV-related public health (preferred, not required)

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university AND currently enrolled in a graduate program relevant to the area of assignment.
