Job description

The Curriculum Designer 1 for Math K-5 PD is responsible for developing Houston ISD NES curriculum with a focus on mathematics for grades K-5. This role involves creating teacher-facing curriculum materials, including slide decks, guidance for implementation, and differentiated assignments aligned with daily learning objectives. The position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to provide clear direction and constructive feedback to meet curriculum goals. Collaboration with educators and stakeholders is essential to ensure effective curriculum delivery and student engagement. This role supports the academic mission by enhancing instructional resources and promoting student learning outcomes.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in related field required

WORK EXPERIENCE

3 to 5 years of relevant experience required

WORKING/ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

-Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment that does not subject the employee to hazardous or unpleasant elements. The position requires the ability to lift and/or carry less than 15 pounds and travel to campuses, satellite office locations, and other district sites as needed.
