Job description

SUMMARY:
The Clinical Program Manager, RN Education and Professional Practice is a dual-focused leadership role responsible for advancing nursing professional practice and managing educational programs across the health system. This position collaborates with system and facility-level leaders to design, implement, and evaluate initiatives that promote clinical excellence, professional development, and lifelong learning. By integrating professional practice standards with innovative educational strategies, the Clinical Program Manager ensures alignment with organizational goals, evidence-based practices, and regulatory requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the implementation and evaluation of the nursing professional practice model across the system

  • Support professional governance structures to empower nurses and enhance collaborative decision-making.

  • Facilitate programs that promote certification, professional recognition, and career advancement.

  • Collaborate with leaders to standardize and maintain nursing policies and clinical practice guidelines.

  • Ensure consistency in professional practice standards across facilities

  • Support efforts to achieve and sustain nursing excellence designations

  • Develop initiatives to recognize nursing contributions and foster a culture of engagement and retention

  • Design and implement education programs, including orientation, onboarding, competency development, and specialty training

  • Use evidence-based approaches to align educational initiatives with clinical and organizational priorities

  • Integrate technology, such as e-learning platforms and simulation, to enhance learning experiences and address diverse learning styles and needs

  • Serve as a liaison between the System Director, facility leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to align professional practice and education initiatives.

  • Coordinate resources and best practices across facilities to ensure consistency and scalability.

  • Ensure professional practice and education programs meet all regulatory and accreditation requirements.

  • Maintain documentation and prepare reports for internal and external audits.

  • Use data to evaluate the impact of professional practice and education programs on clinical outcomes and staff engagement

  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement evidence-based solutions

  • For a Magnet designated facility this role would serve as the Magnet Program Coordinator


EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required Master's degree in Nursing, Education, or a related field preferred

  • Current RN license in applicable state(s); in good standing.

  • BLS certification required.; Certification to be obtained within one year of hire.

  • Certification to be obtained within one year of hire

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience, including 2 years of leadership, professional practice, or education experience

  • Experience with education initiatives or multi-state responsibilities is highly desirable

  • Experience with Magnet is highly desirable

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Supervises up to 50 FTE

Pay Range:

$105,705.60-$211,369.60
