Job description

The Marketing & Community Outreach Coordinator is responsible for increasing awareness of Innocademy Zeeland and Innocademy Allegan Campus throughout Ottawa and Allegan counties.

The primary goal of this position is to help more families learn about our schools and support student enrollment through community outreach, school storytelling, social media, and coordinated marketing efforts.

This is a hands-on position for someone who takes initiative, builds relationships, creates content, and follows projects through to completion. This is not primarily an administrative or strategy-focused role. We are looking for a doer who will actively represent and promote both schools in the community.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop and carry out community outreach efforts throughout Ottawa and Allegan counties.
  • Build relationships with local businesses, preschools, childcare centers, libraries, community organizations, and other potential partners.
  • Identify and coordinate participation in community events, fairs, festivals, and family activities.
  • Distribute flyers, brochures, posters, and other promotional materials throughout the community.
  • Create and manage social media content for both schools.
  • Take photos and short videos of school activities, events, students, and staff.
  • Share stories that highlight each school's culture, programs, accomplishments, and community.
  • Promote school events, tours, open houses, and other opportunities for prospective families.
  • Serve as the liaison between Innocademy Zeeland, Innocademy Allegan Campus, Innovative Education Services, and Boileau Marketing.
  • Provide Boileau Marketing with photos, stories, dates, school updates, and other information needed for campaigns.
  • Work directly with the School Leads at both campuses to identify marketing and outreach priorities.
  • Maintain a shared calendar of school events, marketing projects, social media content, and community outreach opportunities.
  • Track outreach activities, community partnerships, marketing projects, and other indicators of increased awareness.
  • Complete other marketing, communications, and community outreach duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with social media, marketing, communications, community outreach, or content creation.
  • Comfortable meeting new people and representing the schools in the community.
  • Strong organizational and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across two campuses.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout Ottawa and Allegan counties.
  • Availability for occasional evening or weekend events.
  • Ability to maintain student and family confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a school, nonprofit, community organization, or family-focused setting.
  • Experience using Canva, Google Workspace, social media platforms, photography, or basic video editing.
  • Familiarity with Ottawa County, Allegan County, and surrounding communities.
  • Experience coordinating with an outside marketing company or agency.
  • Spanish-speaking ability is a plus, but not required.

Schedule

This is a part-time position working 20-24 hours per week. The schedule will include regular time at Innocademy Zeeland and Innocademy Allegan Campus, community outreach activities, and occasional evening or weekend events.

Success in This Position

Success will be demonstrated through:

  • Increased community visibility for both schools.
  • Consistent and engaging school content.
  • Stronger relationships with community partners.
  • Participation in meaningful community events.
  • Timely coordination with Boileau Marketing and school leadership.
  • Increased interest, inquiries, tours, and awareness that support student enrollment.

Innovative Education Services and its schools are equal opportunity employers.
